Our organization serves as a dynamic hub for education, performance, and community engagement, offering a rich spectrum of programs designed to inform and inspire. Our programs invite participation from individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with particular support for the Georgian immigrant community. Many of our programs are conducted in the Georgian language which gives support for Georgian traditions in New York.
The Programs
Education in the Arts
For over two decades, our children’s classes have been the heart of our organization. We have one of the most comprehensive programs of the country, focusing on Georgian arts.
We offer a well-rounded educational program that includes dance, instrumental and choral music, theater, language and culture, visual art and chess. These disciplines are taught with an emphasis on skill development, creativity and critical thinking, providing students with a rich and balanced learning experience.

The Ensembles
In all of our classes, the children have an opportunity to perform. These groups allow young students to apply their skills, building confidence and discipline. Adult ensembles, in turn, provide accomplished performers with an opportunity to practice their arts.
Events
Our emphasis has consistently been to create a home in New York for living Georgian traditions. During these years we have performed dozens of full-length concerts in Georgian dance, Georgian traditional songs and Georgian theater. We have given many workshops, classes and lecture demonstrations and performed in theaters, libraries, schools, restaurants, hotels and for many private events. We write our own plays and have performed full-length productions as well as cultural evenings with theater, dance, music and poetry. At our studio, audiences enjoy performances in Georgian dance, music, theater, language and culture.
Talks and Lecture/Demonstrations
We often introduce our performances in a context of history and cultural detail. These are “lecture-talks” in which we explore the origins and traditional practice of the dances and songs. As in every culture the Georgian folklore has developed over time with the contributions of many talented practitioners and in support of family and community life.
